Quick Start Guide
Get your first PantherCodX app installed, configured, and running in under 5 minutes. This guide covers account setup, permissions, and initial configuration for all apps.
Before You Begin
Before installing any PantherCodX app, make sure you have:
- A Shopify store (any plan — Basic, Shopify, Advanced, or Plus)
- Admin access to your store (staff accounts need "Apps" permission)
- A modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
All our apps are installed through the Shopify App Store and follow Shopify's standard installation flow.
Step 1: Install the App
Find the App
Go to the Shopify App Store and search for the app name, or use the direct install link from our website or your welcome email.
Click "Add App"
On the app listing page, click the green "Add app" button. You'll be redirected to your Shopify admin to authorize the app.
Review & Install
Shopify shows which permissions the app needs. Each app only requests the minimum permissions necessary. Click "Install app" to confirm.
We follow the principle of least privilege — each app only requests the data access it needs to function. You can review permissions anytime in Shopify Admin > Settings > Apps and sales channels.
Step 2: Activate the App
After installation, most apps need to be activated in your theme:
Open Theme Customizer
Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize on your active theme.
Enable App Embed
In the left sidebar, click "App embeds" (bottom of the list). Find the PantherCodX app and toggle it ON.
Save
Click "Save" in the top-right corner. The app is now active on your storefront.
Some apps may not require theme activation if they work entirely in the backend. The app dashboard will tell you if this step is needed.
Step 3: Basic Configuration
Every app has an onboarding wizard that walks you through the essential settings. Here's what to expect:
- Stok — configure notification channels (Email, SMS, WhatsApp), customize the Notify Me widget
- Watermark Image or Text — create overlays, select target products, position badges
- Bundle Discount Quantity Break — choose bundle type, select products, set discount tiers
- Quantity Limit — set min/max rules, configure customer tags, activate Shopify Function
The wizard takes 1-3 minutes. All settings can be changed later from the app dashboard.
Step 4: Explore the Dashboard
Access any installed app from Shopify Admin > Apps. The dashboard includes:
- Overview — key metrics and quick actions
- Settings — all configuration options
- Analytics — performance tracking and reports
- Help — in-app documentation and support chat
